Cantonese Black Bean Stir-fry

Serves 4 – 6 people


1 Medium Firm Tofu,well drained & cubed ½
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 Clove Garlic, minced
½ cup each Red and Green Bell Peppers, chopped
¼ cup Snow Peas, ends removed
½ cup Asparagus, tips removed and sliced 2-3″ long
½ Asian Family Whole Baby Corn, drained
2 tbsp Asian Family Black Bean Sauce
2 tbsp Asian Family Light Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Asian Family Fresh Ground Chili, optional
¼ cup Water
1 tbsp Asian Family Tapioca Starch
1½ Water (extra)
1 tbsp Asian Family Pure Sesame Oil

Cooking Instructions

Heat vegetable oil and garlic in a wok or frying pan over medium heat. Stir-fry until you begin to smell the aroma. Add onion and all other vegetables and continue to stir-fry for 1 minute. Add tofu and continue to gently stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until Tofu is heated through. Do not over cook. Add Asian Family Black Bean Sauce, SoySauce and Fresh Ground Chili. Mix well. Stir in 1/4 water. Combine Asian Family Tapioca Starch and extra water. Add to the stir-fry and bring to a boil. When sauce thickens, add Asian Family Pure Sesame Oil. Mix well and serve immediately over steamed rice.
